FAQ

HEBE believes in providing great transparency about all our treatments HEBE is always happy to answer any questions you may have. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions by clients. For anything else, please do not hesitate to contact HEBE.

Do I need a consultation?

Yes, every client requires face to face consultation even if you have had treatment previously. This is important in order to obtain a full medical history and to ensure that the clients are able to make informed decision and consent to the appropriate treatment.

What do treatments involve?

After an initial consultation, the appropriate treatment will be recommended and discussed. The area to be treated will be cleaned thoroughly. Cosmetic injections are generally quick and patients are able to go home soon after treatment.

How safe are the treatments?

All the treatments offered have a long and excellent safety record. However, every product or medication carries a risk. These procedures are typically considered to be very low risk and the majority of any complications, if experienced, will resolve spontaneously over time.

Are the treatments painful?

To some extent all injections are painful. There is usually minimal discomfort involved only. The topical and local anesthetic will be applied /administered to reduce discomfort. Any discomfort experienced will be transient and in the highly unlikely event that the treatment has not tolerated, the procedure would be stopped. The same applies to clients with a needle phobia.

Are the treatments successful?

Cosmetic procedures using botulinum toxin and derma fillers are highly successful when used in the appropriate way.

Botulinum toxin has maximum effect at 2 weeks and typically lasts for several months, while derma fillers can have an impact immediately with the effect lasting 12-18 months in some cases even longer.

Can I have an allergic reaction to the treatments?

Yes, however, it is unlikely. Allergic reactions are usually mild temporary reactions such as itching, redness and swelling around treated areas.

Extremely rare anaphylactic reactions may occur with treatment offered and these will be managed as per Anaphylactic reaction protocol.

In addition, it is important to note that anaphylactic reactions may also perhaps be commonly associated with everyday food items such as peanuts and medication as antibiotics. So maybe this will put things in perspective on how often may anaphylactic reaction may happen during/post-treatment.

What kind of treatment I can get at HEBE?

Aesthetic conditions treated are mainly age-related changes on the face for women and men. With Botulinum Toxin Type A areas treated are Frown lines, Crow’s feet, wrinkles on the Forehead.

With derma fillers, it is possible to enhance thin lips, add volume to nasolabial folds ‘smile lines’, marionette lines and smokers lines affecting upper lip.

All treatments subject to face to face consultations.

What are the benefits of having Botulinum Toxin Type treatment?

Botulinum Toxin Type A occurs naturally in certain bacteria, but the medicine used in clinical practice is a synthetic highly purified product subject to stringent safety regulations.

Medical Botox has a great safety record and has a wide variety of other clinical uses including treatment of muscular spasm, headaches, lazy eye, and overactive bladder.

At HEBE Botulinum Toxin Type A is only used for cosmetic treatments.

What is a derma filler?

Derma fillers are made of Hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in the dermis (skin).

Hyaluronic acid- based fillers are used to treat age-related changes to the face such as thinning, wrinkling and loss of volume and elasticity. They are very safe, derived from natural substances and their effect can last for more than a year in many cases.

Eventually, there are absorbed back into the skin.
